Paul Rudd, one of the film's stars, described it as "a totally unique thing" that's "certainly inspired by and loved the movie Anaconda from the '90s, but it's not a remake".

The movie follows a group of childhood friends grappling with mid-life crises who venture into the rainforest to recreate their favourite movie, only to encounter real dangers. The main actors in "Anaconda" are Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube, Jon Voight, and Eric Stoltz.
