Regulating Speed Limitations in Urban Environments
The city administration of Marl has announced that it will be conducting street speed monitoring next week across various parts of the city.
The monitoring will commence on Monday, September 1, 2025, with streets such as Martin-Luther-Str., Bachstr., Huelsbergstr., Zur Freiheit, Graewenkolkstr., and others set to be monitored. The following day, Tuesday, September 2, 2025, monitoring will take place on Freerbruchstr., Silvertstr., Goldregenstr., Halterner Str., Im Breil.
On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, the focus will shift to Breddenkampstr., Josefstr., Buerer Str., Nonnenbusch, Obersinsener Str., while Thursday, September 4, 2025, will see monitoring on Lindenstr., Falkenstr., Goethestr., Hertener Str., Paul-Schneider-Str., and more.
The week-long initiative will continue on Friday, September 5, 2025, with monitoring scheduled on Hülsstr., Lippramsdorfer Str., Bergstr., Westerholter Str., and Carl-Duisberg-Str. On the same day, the city will also monitor streets such as Kampstr. and Hervester Str.
The monitoring will conclude on Saturday, September 6, 2025, with streets like Ringerottstr., Loekampstr., and Sickingmühler Str. under scrutiny. Additionally, Hervester Str. will also be monitored again on this day.
While specific members of the Marl city administration involved in the street monitoring have not been disclosed, the city administration has confirmed that the initiative aims to ensure road safety and maintain the legal speed limits across the city.
Further mobile speed checks will be conducted throughout the entire city area of Marl, reinforcing the city's commitment to road safety and traffic law enforcement.
