New Police Officers Join Bochum Police Presidency
The Bochum Police Presidency has welcomed 102 new officers and four administrative staff members, as announced by the Bochum Police via news aktuell. The new recruits took their oath of office on September 1st and were welcomed by Police President Christine Frucht.
Of the new officers, 60 are newly appointed commissioners who have recently completed their dual studies. They will be serving in various departments across the city.
The Traffic Police will see one officer joining their ranks, while the Ready Police and local Criminal Police will each gain 21 officers. The shift and patrol service in Bochum, Herne, and Witten will be significantly reinforced with 53 new colleagues. Ten of these officers will be serving in Herne, and eight will be stationed in Witten. A total of 35 officers will be strengthening the shift and patrol service in Bochum.
Five officers will join the State Cavalry Squadron, and one administrative staff member will serve in the Directorate of Central Tasks (Administration). The remaining officers have been with the police for longer and have transferred from other authorities to the Bochum Police Presidency.
Before starting their duties, the new officers were briefed on their future tasks by Police President Christine Frucht and her leadership team, specifically in team 110.
