Renewed Launch of Bleu de Chanel's Prestigious Men's Fragrance, "L'Exclusif"
Chanel Unveils a New Variant of Bleu de Chanel: L'Exclusif
Chanel, the iconic fashion house known for its timeless elegance and tradition, has announced the release of a new variant of its flagship men's fragrance, Bleu de Chanel. Named L'Exclusif, this dynamic and modern fragrance is set to redefine masculinity in the world of perfumery.
Olivier Polge, the perfumer of the house and son of Jacques Polge, has taken the codes for feminine extracts and combined them with masculinity and depth to create L'Exclusif. This ingenious approach expresses a vision of a masculine extract that is both undeniably modern and preserves tradition.
Bleu de Chanel, launched in 2010, has become a timeless icon in the realm of men's fragrances. When it first hit the shelves, it was unlike any scent found on men's fragrance shelves at the time, breaking away from the citrus-heavy trend. L'Exclusif continues this trend-setting legacy, offering a fragrance for complex men.
L'Exclusif is a fragrance that awakens curiosity in its wearers. With a base of sandalwood notes and a complex accord of leather and resin notes, it is a dynamic and modern scent. Unlike the original Bleu de Chanel, L'Exclusif does without the sweetness of the tonka bean, resulting in a more intense fragrance, as it is designed as an Extrait de Parfum.
The advertising for Bleu de Chanel has been iconic, featuring the late Gaspard Ulliel in a memorable scene from a Martin Scorsese-directed ad. The new era of Bleu de Chanel is being established with Timothée Chalamet as the face of the fragrance since 2023. Chalamet describes this new era as celebrating a more mysterious and intellectually sexy version of masculinity.
L'Exclusif is available at Douglas for 193 euros. The Gen Z generation is willing to spend 300 euros on a bottle of L'Exclusif, reflecting the high recognition value of Chanel N°5, which began more than 100 years ago and has evolved into a fragrance empire.
Chanel has continued its legacy with L'Exclusif, presenting a new variant of Bleu de Chanel that is both a nod to the past and a step into the future. Olivier Polge, perfumer of the house, continues his father's legacy, offering a fragrance that is both timeless and modern.
