Rental platform Topi has been taken over by PEAC in a recent acquisition.

Berlin-based fintech company Topi has been acquired by the international financial services group PEAC Solutions, marking a significant milestone for Topi. The acquisition, which took place in 2021, will enable Topi to scale its IT hardware rental business and become a leading provider of digital rental solutions in the IT equipment sector.

Topi's solutions make it easier for retailers to offer financing models and DaaS (Device as a Service) solutions to their customers. The integration of Topi solutions into the checkout of online shops will streamline the process, making it more accessible for retailers to offer these services to their customers.

PEAC Solutions, owned by the British PEAC Holding and operating branches in North America, the UK, and other European countries, offers financing solutions such as leasing and credit products. The acquisition plays a central role in PEAC Solutions' ambitious growth strategy in the tech sector and other target markets.

PEAC Solutions' CEO, Bill Stephenson, confirmed that this strategic acquisition will enable the company to offer innovative solutions to its partners and customers through the integration of Topi solutions into its checkout process. Charlotte Pallua, co-founder and CEO of Topi, shared Stephenson's enthusiasm, considering the acquisition a major milestone for the company.

Topi has been operating in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and Belgium and plans to continue doing so post-acquisition. However, the company also aims to expand geographically and explore new product categories. This move will provide a significant competitive advantage for PEAC Solutions, as anticipated by the company.

The acquisition will not affect Topi's core operations in Berlin, which will remain the company's headquarters. This ensures continuity for customers, partners, and employees. Topi, despite being acquired, plans to continue offering rental solutions for office IT in its core markets.

Topi needed a financially strong partner to further scale its IT hardware rental business. By joining forces with PEAC Solutions, Topi gains the necessary financial strength and international reach to achieve this goal faster. The partnership will undoubtedly propel both companies towards growth and innovation in the tech sector.
