Reports Arising from Lake District in PP Ravensburg
In the western Lake Constance region, a series of incidents occurred on Monday, causing concern among local authorities.
A 23-year-old woman was at the centre of a road incident when her car was involved in a rear-end collision in the main street of Ravensburg. The collision, which occurred around 12:30 pm, involved a VW Touran and another VW, with the latter being at fault. The driver of the second vehicle is believed to have been attempting to overtake two cars, unaware that the woman was approaching from behind. As a result, the woman's car collided with the VW, injuring a 48-year-old passenger. The passenger was taken to a hospital by ambulance, and the 23-year-old's car had to be towed away.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist suffered moderate injuries in a separate crash on the same day. The incident occurred on the L 204 between Roggenbeuren and Urnau. According to reports, the motorcyclist was attempting to overtake a car when the driver of the car ahead also moved left to overtake. This sudden maneuver caused the motorcyclist to swerve to the left and crash into the grass. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital by an ambulance, and the motorcycle was totaled.
In a separate incident, a 64-year-old motorcyclist was attempting to overtake two cars when he collided with the driver of the car ahead who also moved left to overtake. The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital by an ambulance, and his motorcycle was totaled.
In Friedrichshafen, a man is suspected of attempting multiple burglaries in the Seemooser Horn area. At least one garden shed was broken into, and it is currently being investigated if anything was stolen. The Friedrichshafen police station is conducting investigations regarding the attempted burglaries.
In Meckenbeuren, an e-scooter was reported stolen. The stolen e-scooter is a Ninebot model with a current insurance plate. The e-scooter was secured with a bicycle lock, but the thief took both the lock and the vehicle. Anyone with information about the stolen e-scooter or the whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call 07542/9432-0 at the Meckenbeuren police post.
In addition, a 54-year-old woman who was reportedly in a state of psychological distress near Radolfzell triggered an extensive police operation on Monday afternoon. However, despite multiple police units and a police helicopter being deployed, the woman has not been identified in the available search results.
During her drive, the woman was said to have repeatedly entered the opposing lane and made reckless overtaking maneuvers, and she also collided with a traffic sign in the Überlingen-West area but continued driving despite the damage. She was eventually spotted by a police unit near the Aachbrücke in Rielasingen-Worblingen and taken into custody. She was then transported to a specialized clinic. Investigations against the driver are ongoing.
Due to leaking fluids from the collision, the fire department was called to clean up the scene. The total damage to both vehicles was approximately 7,500 euros.
