Officer Harris, however, was determined to help. He purchased a $113 train ticket for the traveler using his own bank card, ensuring that he would be able to travel to New York.

The train station for the purchased ticket was located just across the street, making it a relatively easy journey for the traveler. Officer Harris's kind-hearted act did not go unnoticed, as Pittsburgh Police Commander Tim Novosel was amazed by the officer's actions.
