Residential burglary in Bremerhaven: 450-kilogram safe stolen

In the quiet neighbourhood of Bremerhaven-Speckenbüttel, an unfortunate incident occurred on August 13. Unknown perpetrators broke into an apartment on Im Bruch street, stealing a 450 kg safe containing cash and valuable jewels.

The break-in, which took place between August 12, 10 pm, and August 13, 5:30 am, saw the perpetrators gain access to the apartment by force through a window. Once inside, they searched all rooms and ransacked several cabinets, suggesting a deliberate and calculated act.

The perpetrators made their escape through a terrace door, taking the heavy safe with them. The location of the stolen safe and its contents remains unknown.

The Bremerhaven Police are actively investigating the break-in and appealing for information. Anyone who noticed unusual noises, activities, or vehicles in the vicinity of Im Bruch street during the period of August 12, 10 pm, to August 13, 5:30 am is urged to contact the police at 0471/953-4444.
