Residents' Discussions at Community Playgrounds - Bergisch Gladbach Encourages Interaction

Bergisch Gladbach, Germany - The city is inviting its citizens to participate in a series of events titled "Citizen Dialogues," which aim to discuss and jointly shape livable and intergenerational play and leisure areas. The event series, starting on August 30, 2025, will take place in all six administrative districts of the city.

The first event will be held in District 2 at Spielplatz Weizenfeld, Hebborn, on August 30, 2025, from 2 PM to 6 PM. The focus of this event will be on so-called "smart improvements" - targeted, often small measures that can achieve a significant impact with manageable effort.

Each district will have its own event by the end of the year. The event in District 3 will occur at Bücheler Weg, Herrenstrunden, on October 12, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The event in District 4 will take place at Bolzplatz Ball und Kierdorfer Feld, Herkenrath, on October 26, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The event in District 5 will occur at Spielplatz "Reiser/ Im Monsröttchen", Kaule, on November 2, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The final event in District 6 will take place at Wallburg, Refrath, on November 16, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM.

During these events, committed neighbors will present their voluntary work in the neighborhoods, and interested citizens are encouraged to share their perspectives and suggestions. The Spielmobil of the Mehrgenerationenhaus will provide a colorful program for children during the events in District 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Refreshments will be provided at the events.

The head of the Department for Children, Youth, and Family in Bergisch Gladbach, Knut Dannat, is responsible for the event series. The goal of the event series is to assess the current state of play and leisure areas together with citizens and discuss possible improvements.

Interested citizens in Districts 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 can contact the Department of Children, Youth, and Family Promotion at 02202 142808 or via email at [email protected] for participation. The event series promises to be an open forum for suggestions, criticism, and ideas, fostering a collaborative effort to create vibrant and intergenerational play and leisure spaces in Bergisch Gladbach.
