Resuscitation required for motorcyclist involved in a road collision

In Hakenfelde, a motorcyclist was involved in a traffic accident on Radelandstraße towards Kisselnallee at around 18:20. The accident resulted in severe head injuries for the 33-year-old motorcyclist, who lost consciousness at the scene.

Emergency services worked diligently to revive the injured motorcyclist and transport him to a hospital for further treatment. The accident site was fully closed for the duration of the rescue operations and the subsequent investigation.

Specialists from the Institute of Forensic Science and an accident expert were called in to investigate the incident. It appears that the motorcyclist overtook three vehicles at high speed before losing control and colliding with a lamppost.

A small can with suspected drug residue was found among the motorcyclist's belongings, leading to a suspicion of drug intoxication. A blood sample was taken from the motorcyclist for further analysis.

The motorcyclist's driver's license remains seized by the police as the investigation continues. The traffic crime unit of the Police Directorate 2 (West) is conducting further investigations into the matter.

In a separate incident, a 21-year-old driver in Charlottenburg-Nord is under investigation for suspected drug intoxication after losing control of his vehicle and injuring a 71-year-old cyclist. The traffic offense unit of Police Directorate 2 (West) is investigating this case as well.

The accident site was reopened after the completion of rescue operations and the investigation. The motorcyclist's condition is currently unknown, but we will provide updates as more information becomes available.
