In a relief for the residents of Fürth-Erlenbach, the elusive escaped ibex named Bonnie was safely captured on Thursday afternoon, August 29th. The capture marks the successful resolution of the escape incident that began on August 12th.

The capture took place in the Heppenheimer North district on Riesling Way, outside the animal park where Bonnie had originally escaped. Each time Bonnie was spotted during her 14-day trip, an attempt was made to capture her with a tranquilizer gun, but she managed to evade it, causing a stir among the locals.

The zookeeper who successfully used the tranquilizer gun to capture Bonnie is Gernot Neumayer, an animal caretaker who resides in Innsbruck. The capture was announced by the town administration of Fürth, and it signifies the end of Bonnie's long journey.

Residents provided valuable tips that led to the capture of Bonnie. After being captured, Bonnie was immediately given a chance to recover from the effects of the tranquilizer and the 14-day trip. She was then returned to her enclosure in the Bergtierpark Erlenbach.
