Schlossblick Concerts Return to Marburg for Summer 2023
Get ready for an exciting lineup of music as the Schlossblick Concerts return to Marburg this summer. The rooftop series at the Erwin-Piscator-Haus (EPH) will run from July 25th to September 5th, with performances every Friday.
The series kicks off on July 25th with the Christian Gerhard Trio, who will present "Jazz on a summer's night." This talented trio, consisting of Christian Gerhard on piano, Goetz Ommert on bass, and Martin Mueller on drums, promises an evening of smooth, melodic jazz.
On August 15th, Lazarillo & die Stylophanten will take the stage, bringing their unique blend of German Hip Hop with a live band. The night will also feature DJ Scoop & Nice-Cut providing warm-up and after-party music.
Heavier music lovers can look forward to August 29th, when Apewards will perform their grungy tunes, supported by local indie rockers Torino.
The grand finale on September 5th will be played by the Blueskapelle Marburg (BKM), who will treat audiences to a mix of blues, rock'n'roll, soul, funk, and even Blues Schlager, all sung in German.
The concerts offer more than just great music. They also provide an open-air view of Marburg Castle, making for a truly magical experience. And the best part? Admission to all concerts is free!
The variety of music styles on offer is impressive. From Jazz and Hip Hop to Singer-Songwriter Indie Pop, Stoner and Blues Rock, and even Blues, there's something for everyone. On August 22nd, the Gießen indie-singer-songwriter formation Südviertel and singer-songwriter Magnus Ernst will perform.
