Revenues of Conet surge past 300 million euros mark
In the ever-evolving landscape of IT services, Conet, a German company founded in 1987, continues to make significant strides. The company, which employs around 2,000 people, recently announced its intention to increase its turnover to half a billion euros by 2028.
In April 2024, Martin Wibbe took over the management of Conet, and since then, he has been leading the company towards its ambitious goals. Wibbe emphasised the need for flexibility, agility, and adaptation in fast-paced markets, a strategy that seems to be paying off.
In September 2024, Conet launched its growth initiative, "Horizon28," focusing on supplying IT services to various sectors, including the automotive industry, public sector, Bundeswehr, financial services providers, manufacturing industry, and energy and water suppliers.
The fiscal year ending on March 31, 2025, closed with a record turnover of 305 million euros. This growth was achieved through acquisitions, as Conet strengthened its position in 2025, but the specific companies acquired to support its target of half a billion euros by 2028 are not yet detailed.
Conet's CEO, Martin Wibbe, reported that few IT service providers managed to grow in 2024, but Conet was among them. The company's success is not limited to the IT sector, as it sees itself well-positioned in the core target group "Defense" and public administration to drive digital transformation.
In February 2025, Daniela Bünger was appointed as the CFO of Conet. Bünger expects increased demand for IT services, not just from the public sector, and targets double-digit growth rates for the coming years. To achieve this, Conet aims to hire 400 new specialists in 2025.
The German government's creation of a new digital ministry is seen as a positive move by Conet, as it aims to modernise the state. Conet works together with various tech giants, including AWS, Microsoft, SAP, Eset, Hornetsecurity, Sophos, and Cisco, in various IT service areas.
Conet moved its headquarters to Bonn in 2023 and has eleven branches in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, and Croatia. As Conet continues to grow, it looks forward to contributing to the digital transformation of various sectors across Europe.
