Reward of a Million Dollars Offered for the Capture of the Police Killer

In a shocking turn of events, a man identified as a self-proclaimed "Sovereign Citizen" is on the run after a police officer murder on August 26. The incident, which took place near Melbourne, approximately 300 kilometers northeast, has left two police officers dead and a third seriously injured.

The 56-year-old suspect, who opened fire during a police visit to his property, is currently considered violent and heavily armed. Over 450 police officers are involved in the daily search for the man, with the challenging terrain offering potential hiding spots.

The police have been searching for the fugitive since the incident with a large contingent for several days. The man, who is wanted for sexual offenses, is believed to be alone, but the rugged terrain could potentially hide an accomplice.

Authorities are appealing to the public for any knowledge about the man's location. A reward of up to one million Australian dollars (around 560,000 euros) has been offered for information leading to his arrest.

Despite the extensive search, there are no indications that the man has an accomplice. The police consider it equally likely that the man is hiding alone or has taken his own life. However, the challenging terrain makes it possible for him to have an accomplice if one exists.

The shooting took place during the execution of an arrest warrant against the man. The man fled into the adjacent forest with several firearms, and his current whereabouts remain unknown.

The police have so far been unable to identify the self-proclaimed "sovereign citizen" who committed the heinous act. They urge anyone with information to come forward and help bring the suspect to justice.
