Rich assortment of health and knowledge-enhancing opportunities for everyone throughout the day
The Guetersloh Adult Education Center (Erwachsenenbildungszentrum) is hosting a Health Day on Saturday, September 6, 2025. The event promises a day filled with informative lectures, engaging workshops, and interactive activities, all aimed at promoting health and well-being.
The day kicks off at 9:30 AM with admission and arrival. Desiree Solle, the VHS Director, will open the event, setting the tone for a day of learning and growth.
At 10:00 AM, the stage will welcome four experts for a panel discussion titled "How Good is AI Really? - The Big Foreign Language Translation Check". The panelists, Elsa Luisa Carrilero, Eddie Teleb, Mireille Gaglio-Pelzer, and Margarida Lima, will delve into the capabilities and limitations of AI in foreign language translation.
Following the panel discussion, at 11:00 AM, Dominik Minkus will deliver a lecture on psychodietetics, exploring the connection between nutrition and mental health.
At 12:00 PM, Margret Benoelken from the Consumer Center NRW e.V. will discuss nutrition in old age and the importance of maintaining a balanced, delicious diet.
Silvia Glashoerster will conduct a Gentle Yoga Workshop at 1:00 PM, offering participants a chance to relax and rejuvenate their bodies and minds.
At the same time, Stefanie Tuxhorn will lead an Autogenic Training and Progressive Muscle Relaxation Workshop, providing a different avenue for stress relief and relaxation.
Dr. Siegfried RoΜsel and Christian Stickling will lead a session titled "Chat GPT Test - How Good Are Health Answers?" at 2:00 PM, exploring the accuracy and reliability of AI in providing health-related information.
The day will culminate with a choir performance by the U60 Choir of Guetersloh County Music School, under the direction of Markus Berkmann, at 3:00 PM. This will be followed by a Voice Training Workshop, giving participants the opportunity to improve their singing skills.
Raphaela Gehle will deliver a lecture titled "Always there for everyone? What can and do I bring to my adult children's family day?" at 4:00 PM, wrapping up the informative and enlightening Health Day at the Guetersloh Adult Education Center.
