On Monday, September 1st, as Sevillians returned to their routine, the city's roads were a testament to the ongoing metro construction. ABC took to the streets to examine the traffic conditions to the Cartuja, exploring three different routes: the Ronda Norte, the Avenue of Llanes, and the SE-30 direction bridge of the Centenary.

The first leg of the journey through the Ronda Norte started promisingly, with an estimated time of arrival of 20 minutes. However, the circulation was not fluid at the height of the crematorium, causing a slight delay. Upon joining the central lanes, traffic became fluid, and no significant traffic jam was observed.

The second route from Santa Clara to the Cartuja was through the Avenue of Llanes, crossing the Macarena neighborhood to enter the Cartuja through the Barqueta bridge. This route, while offering a different perspective, was not without its challenges. The most complicated point of the journey was in the vicinity of the Hospital Virgen Macarena, where traffic was heavy, with vehicles moving at no more than 20 kilometers per hour on a road with a maximum speed limit of 80 kilometers per hour. Stops were frequent when crossing the bridge and afterwards. The estimated time of arrival through the Avenue of Llanes was 22 minutes.

The last route, the SE-30, was congested due to the works on the Centennial Bridge. The area usually concentrates a lot of traffic, making this point seem complicated. The advancement of the works of the metro of Seville is happening, one of the most awaited and major works of the last years in the capital of Seville. However, the works on the metro are causing traffic alterations, with the bottleneck located in the Ronda Norte and Pío XII.

Alternative routes like the SE-20 could be considered to avoid congestion during the metro construction. The road, still awaiting rehabilitation, has a poor condition and has caused several accidents. The search results do not provide information about which highway was announced to be rehabilitated before the end of the year to relieve traffic from SE-30 during the construction of the Sevilla Metro.

Moreover, more than one distracted driver was seen at the crossroads with Doctor Fedriani street. Doctor Leal Castaño street reduces from two lanes to only one due to the works, continuing through Doctor Marañón.

As the metro construction continues, it is crucial for commuters to be aware of the traffic conditions and plan their routes accordingly. Stay tuned for more updates on Seville's traffic situation.
