Rise in Fuel Prices Observed on August 26th
In an announcement made by TPM, fuel prices in the Philippines are set to increase starting from Tuesday, August 26, 2025. The affected fuel types include diesel, gasoline, and kerosene.
The price of diesel will see an increase of P0.50 per liter, while gasoline will cost an additional P0.70 per liter. The price of kerosene will increase by P0.30 per liter.
These price adjustments are a result of rising global oil prices and adjustments in the excise tax rates affecting fuel costs. Pilipinas Shell, Seaoil, Caltex, PetroGazz, and Cleanfuel have announced these price increases.
The price hike will take effect starting at 6 a.m. on the said date. For those who wish to check the updated prices, the price adjustment information is available on TPM's website.
This news serves as a reminder for consumers to plan their fuel expenses accordingly and to consider using fuel-efficient vehicles or alternative modes of transport when possible. As always, it's important to stay informed about fuel price changes to manage your budget effectively.
