Road in Cape Town to undergo complete shutdown from August 25, 2025 to November 14, 2025
Greifswald Transportation Update: Construction Begins on Friedrich-Loeffler-Straße and Wollweberstraße
Greifswald residents and commuters should be aware of upcoming changes to public transportation routes and traffic management due to construction work on Friedrich-Loeffler-Straße and Wollweberstraße. The construction, which commences on August 25, 2022, is expected to conclude on November 14, 2025.
The exact detour routes for public transportation during construction are not specified here; passengers are advised to consult the local public transport authority for detailed information. However, it is important to plan for delays due to the changes in public transport.
The construction site will be a moving one, ensuring that parking spaces for residents will be available before and/or after the construction site at all times. The measures aim to avoid further straining the tense parking situation.
Line 2 will run via the "Rathaus" stop from 06:00 to 22:00, before and after via Goethestraße. In the direction of ZOB, the "Campus Loefflerstraße" and "Tierpark" stops will not be served for line 2 from 06:00 to 22:00. From ZOB in the direction of Campus Loefflerstraße, lines 2 and 3 will be redirected via Wollweberstraße into Friedrich-Loeffler-Straße.
Traffic coming from Hansering can only use Friedrich-Loeffler-Straße up to Rotgerberstraße from August 25 to September 22, 2025, due to an additional closure in Friedrich-Loeffler-Straße. Traffic coming from the train station will be redirected via Wollweberstraße to Friedrich-Loeffler-Straße.
The one-way street in Wollweberstraße will be "reversed" and extended in Friedrich-Loeffler-Straße up to Kapaunenstraße. Kapaunenstraße will be fully closed in sections throughout the entire period. A detour to reach the train station via Wollweberstraße is via Hansering - Goethestraße - Bahnhofstraße - Zentrum.
The city of Greifswald is expanding its district heating and drinking water network in Kapaunerstraße. The heating and drinking water supply in Kapaunenstraße will remain unaffected during the work.
Further information is available at the mobility center at ZOB or by phone at 03834 532424. Passengers are encouraged to check for updates regularly and to plan their journeys accordingly.
