Road incident resulting in injuries and partial blockage of the Federal Highway 3 in Wisconsinopolis

On Thursday afternoon, July 24, 2025, a multi-car accident occurred on the A3 near Wiesbaden, causing significant traffic disruptions and delays.

The incident took place in the Gemarkung Niedernhausen, specifically at km 144.3 on the A3, heading towards Würzburg. According to reports transmitted by PASt (KvD) - Police Headquarters Westhessen, a Chevrolet collided with a Toyota that was stationary at the tail end of the traffic. The impact of the Chevrolet with the Toyota pushed the Toyota into a Tesla in front of it.

Sadly, six people were lightly injured and taken to nearby hospitals for further examination. The names of the injured parties and the extent of their injuries were not disclosed.

The accident resulted in the closure of two lanes on the A3 in the direction of Würzburg, causing traffic to come to a standstill at around 15:47. Traffic on the opposite carriageway was also affected due to rubberneckers, leading to a queue of up to 12 kilometers.

Two of the cars involved in the accident were no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away, resulting in an estimated material damage of approximately 15,000 euros.
