Road Surface Restoration Project
The city of Wiesbaden has announced that a section of Dotzheimer Straße will be partially closed due to severe road damage. The closure affects cyclists and motorists, who are advised to avoid the affected section and follow detours.
The closure extends from Klarenthaler Straße to the 1st Ring, with the suburban bus stop Loreleiring on Dotzheimer Straße having a damaged road surface. Construction on the damaged road surface is set to begin on Tuesday, September 2, and is expected to last 14 days.
During the repair work, the right-turn lane on Kurt-Schumacher-Ring into Dotzheimer Straße and one lane on Dotzheimer Straße will be closed to traffic. Right turns at Dotzheimer Straße are not possible due to the closure.
Traffic participants traveling from Dotzheimer Straße towards Wiesbaden Central Station are advised to use Klarenthaler Straße to the Ring as an alternative. Pedestrians can continue to use their usual routes.
The construction site can be found on the City Construction Map, and more information about construction in the city can be found on the website www.wiesbaden.de. The number of construction sites in Wiesbaden increases rapidly during the summer break.
The municipal road maintenance authority of the city where Dotzheimer Straße is located is responsible for the repair of the damaged road section. An illustration of the construction site is courtesy of Openstreetmap.
