Roku Channel now hosts BET+ Essential debut
The Roku Channel has expanded its offerings with the launch of the BET+ Essential ad-supported subscription streaming service. This move allows Roku users to access a wider range of BET content at a more affordable price.
BET+, a streaming service launched by BET Networks, a division of ViacomCBS (now Paramount Global), offers a vast content library, including exclusive originals and popular shows. With the BET+ Essential Plan, Roku viewers can now enjoy a significant portion of this library with minimal ads.
The BET+ Essential Plan, priced at $5.99 per month, offers access to more than 2,000 hours of programming. This includes fan favourites such as "The Ms. Pat Show," "Martin: The Reunion," "Diarra from Detroit," and all seasons of "College Hill: Celebrity Edition." The plan also features BET specials, like the BET Awards, and exclusive originals from Carl Weber, such as "The Family Business" and "The Black Hamptons."
While the BET+ Essential Plan includes limited video ads that play before and during programming, the premium plan offers an uninterrupted viewing experience for those willing to pay $10.99 per month. Both subscription options are available on The Roku Channel, joining more than 55 streaming services available in the U.S.
The launch of the BET+ Essential Plan on The Roku Channel is a strategic move that provides a more affordable option for BET content. Roku users can now subscribe to the BET+ Essential service via the in-house platform, making it even more convenient for viewers to enjoy their favourite shows and exclusive content.
