Expanded management trust of Rosneft Deutschland by the Federal Government will persist until 2026

Rosneft Deutschland's trust management has been prolonged by the Federal Government, extending its control until 2026.

The German Federal Government has announced an extension of the trusteeship administration over Rosneft Deutschland GmbH (RDG) and RN Refining & Marketing GmbH (RNRM) until March 10, 2026. This decision, made by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, aims to secure the supply of energy and safeguard the location of key refineries in Germany.

Under this extended administration, the Federal Network Agency will continue to control the shares held by Rosneft Deutschland in three significant refineries: PCK Schwedt, Miro (Karlsruhe), and Bayernoil (Vohburg). These refineries account for approximately 12% of Germany's total oil processing capacity.

The extension of the trusteeship administration is based on the Energy Security Act and ensures the security of energy supply in Germany, particularly for the federal states of Berlin and Brandenburg. It also secures the supply of Rosneft Deutschland's share in the three refineries, thereby maintaining their operational continuity.

The control by the Federal Network Agency also includes Rosneft Deutschland's share in the PCK Schwedt refinery, a strategic location that the extension safeguards. The extension of the trusteeship administration applies to all three refineries, ensuring a consistent and secure energy supply across Germany.

Rosneft Deutschland is one of the largest oil processing companies in Germany, making this extension a crucial move to maintain the country's energy security. The Federal Ministry of Economics announced the extension on Monday, reinforcing the government's commitment to ensuring a stable and secure energy supply for the nation.

This extension comes as a relief for the residents of Schwedt, whose location is secured by the extension of the trusteeship administration. The continued control by the Federal Network Agency over Rosneft Deutschland and RN Refining & Marketing GmbH will ensure the ongoing operation of these vital refineries, securing Germany's energy supply and maintaining the location of Schwedt.
