Ross Unveils Carbonite Coding Software

Ross Video, a leading provider of live video production solutions, has announced the launch of Carbonite Code, a software-based production switcher designed specifically for NDI workflows.

On April 13, 2024, during a Ross keynote address, Nigel Spratling, the Vice President of Production Switchers at Ross Video, discussed the upcoming Carbonite Code with SCN, a news outlet that covers news relevant to AV integrators, resellers, and consultants.

Carbonite Code is expected to be a game-changer in the live video production industry. It boasts three multiviewers, each capable of displaying up to 16 sources, three M/Es (Melody, Harmony, and Rhythm), four chromakeys, and a 48-channel audio mixer.

Moreover, Carbonite Code supports 30 NDI inputs and six outputs, making it an ideal solution for complex NDI workflows. It also seamlessly integrates with Ross TouchDrive control panels for enhanced control and efficiency.

Nigel Spratling provided more details about Carbonite Code during the discussion with SCN. He confirmed that the software is set to be released this summer.

It's worth noting that Ross Video recently entered into a strategic partnership with NDI. However, the discussion with SCN was not related to the launch of NDI 6, as it is a separate event.

With Carbonite Code, Ross Video continues to push the boundaries of live video production, offering innovative solutions that cater to the evolving needs of the industry. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new product.
