"Rudy Giuliani expresses intense suffering following car accident in New Hampshire"
Rudy Giuliani, the former New York City mayor who was dubbed "America's mayor" in light of his leadership in the city after the Sept. 11 attacks in 2001, was involved in a car accident last weekend in New Hampshire.
The incident occurred while Giuliani was riding in a rented Ford Bronco, with Ted Goodman driving. According to reports, a Honda HR-V driven by a 19-year-old woman struck the Ford Bronco from behind, causing both vehicles to hit the highway median and sustain heavy damage.
Before the accident, a woman flagged down Giuliani and Goodman, claiming to be abused or attacked by a man in her company and asking to get in their car. The woman did not appear injured, but her companion was holding up a flashlight, obscuring their face.
Giuliani stated that he was hit in the back "the hardest I've ever been hit in my whole life." As a result, he sustained a fractured thoracic vertebra, multiple lacerations and contusions, and injuries to his left arm and lower leg. Both Giuliani and Goodman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospitals for treatment.
The 19-year-old woman who was driving the Honda HR-V has not been publicly identified. Giuliani also claimed that a state trooper told him the woman had badly beaten the man. However, investigators believe the reported domestic violence and the car crash to be unrelated.
Investigations into the cause of the car crash are ongoing, with no charges having been filed as of yet. The New Hampshire State Police are conducting the investigation.
In the aftermath of the accident, Giuliani returned to his online program "America's Mayor Live" and his show on Lindell TV after being hospitalized for multiple days. He later became a vocal proponent of former President Donald Trump's allegations of fraud in the 2020 election.
It's important to note that Trump and his backers lost dozens of lawsuits claiming fraud, and numerous recounts, reviews, and audits of the election results turned up no signs of significant wrongdoing or error. In 2019, two former Georgia election workers later won a $148 million defamation judgment against Giuliani.
Despite the car accident, doctors are "very confident" Giuliani will heal. They have instructed him not to bend, lift, or twist for a certain period. Giuliani received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Donald Trump, which he celebrated on his shows.
This incident serves as a reminder of the unpredictability of life and the importance of road safety. Our thoughts are with Giuliani, Goodman, and the individuals involved in the reported domestic violence incident.
