FEASSSA Tournament Update: St Peter's Mumias Leading the Pack

The FEASSSA Tournament, a regional sports competition, is heating up as we approach the final stages. St Peter's Mumias is currently leading the rugby Sevens tournament with an impressive record of six wins and one draw, accumulating a total of 20 points.

St Peter's Mumias' dominance was evident in their victories against Mbarara from Uganda (26-7) and Koyonzo (12-7). Koyonzo coach Elly Okwemba acknowledged his team's defeat, attributing it to slight mistakes, but expressed confidence in their talent and future. Unfortunately, Koyonzo has lost two matches and is out of the title race.

Bungoma High School is in a close second place, also with 20 points. Their impressive wins against Bwake (14-7) and London College from Uganda (26-7) have kept them in the running. However, they are separated by a one-point difference from St Peter's Mumias.

Lugulu High School shares second place with St. Peter's Mumias in the rugby Sevens Championships, but with fewer points (15). They have had some impressive wins, including a 3-0 victory against Benjamin Mkapa from Tanzania.

In the football tournament, Agai High School secured a 3-0 win against Benjamin Mkapa, while St Joseph's Girls Kitale defeated Paul Harris 15-0. Mbarara also had a successful match, defeating Kisubi 12-7. Highway High School lost 2-0 to Amus College from Uganda, and Musingu School drew 0-0 with Buddo Secondary from Uganda.

St Joseph's Kitale also had a close match against Rugunga, winning 2-1. Bungoma High School also demonstrated their football prowess with a 2-0 victory against London College. Madira Girls lost 2-0 to St Noah from Uganda in a football match.
