In a series of heavy air strikes overnight, Ukraine has reported significant casualties and extensive damage, with President Volodymyr Zelensky confirming four deaths and dozens of injuries. The attack, which involved over 800 combat drones, cruise missiles, and rockets, is said to be the largest drone attack since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.

The tragic deaths were reported in Kyiv, where a mother named Viktoria Grebeniuk and her three-month-old son Roman lost their lives. The government building in Kyiv was also hit for the first time, according to Prime Minister Julia Svyrydenko.

The scale and intensity of the attack have been unprecedented, with reports of warehouses being destroyed and a high-rise being hit in Kryvyi Rih and Odessa. Furthermore, more than 20 houses and a kindergarten were damaged in Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia.

President Zelensky, in his statement, criticized the US and emphasized that the world can force the Kremlin criminals to stop the killing, stating, "The world can force the Kremlin criminals to stop the killing - it just takes political will." He also highlighted the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, stating that Ukraine has been defending itself against a Russian invasion for over three and a half years.

It has been said more than once in Washington that sanctions would follow a refusal to negotiate. However, the specific locations and casualties from this latest attack have not been reported yet.

As the conflict continues, the people of Ukraine remain resilient in the face of adversity, hoping for a peaceful resolution and an end to the violence.
