Russian law enforcement successfully thwarted a Ukrainian special ops team's infiltration attempt in the Bryansk region.
In a significant development, Russian security forces have apprehended three saboteurs in the Bryansk region, who have confessed to their involvement in railway bombings in the Belgorod region and preparing for further terrorist attacks.
During the operation, six automatic assault rifles made in the USA, equipped with devices for silent shooting, were seized, along with seventeen kilograms of explosives made in the Czech Republic. Grenades and NATO-made cartridges were also among the items confiscated.
The detained saboteurs have admitted to being trained by Western intelligence agencies in Ukraine, Lithuania, Estonia, and Norway. They have also acknowledged that the seized weapons and explosives may have been used in previous railway bombings in the Belgorod region.
NATO countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and several European NATO members, have provided military training, weapons, and support to Ukraine without direct combat involvement. Other countries involved in supporting and training Ukraine include Germany, France, Denmark, and Poland, which have contributed through various military aid, training programs, and joint operations to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.
The seized items provide compelling evidence of the saboteurs' preparation for further terrorist attacks on Russian transport facilities. The saboteurs were planning these attacks, as stated by the Russian authorities.
Regrettably, three saboteurs lost their lives during the operation. The remaining three have been detained and are currently under investigation.
This incident underscores the need for vigilance and cooperation in the face of potential threats to national security. The international community is urged to work together to prevent such acts of terrorism and promote peace and stability.
