Russians distribute counterfeit banknotes in Chernihiv, advocating for cooperation
In the city of Chernihiv, Ukraine, authorities suspect Russian drone operators of dropping leaflets resembling 100-hryvnia banknotes. According to the Chernihiv Oblast police, the leaflets were discovered on September 6 in a residential district.
The source of this information is the local public broadcaster, Suspilne Chernihiv. Local media have published photographs of the materials, but no new information has been provided about who might be behind the distribution of these leaflets.
The discovered leaflets contained calls to share coordinates and assist in adjusting fire at the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In exchange for this assistance, the leaflets promised real money. The police have reminded residents that collaborating with the Russians carries criminal liability.
