Sachet-Parampara outrightly refute allegations of plagiarism in relation to the song "Raanjhan" from Kriti Sanon's film, and are contemplating pursuing legal action.

In the bustling world of Bollywood, a new controversy has arisen. International music producer KMKZ has alleged that the composition of the song "Raanjhan" from the film "Do Patti," released in 2024, was plagiarized from one of his beats.

KMKZ claims he reached out to the label and the artists multiple times but received no response. The accusations were made public in a post on Instagram, where he accused T-Series of using his piano loop without credit or payment.

However, the composition duo Sachet Tandon and Parampara Thakur, better known as Sachet-Parampara, have dismissed the allegations as baseless. They have never relied on plagiarism in their decade-long career.

Parampara Thakur clarified that they have submitted the original files and piano scores to YouTube, Spotify, and other streaming platforms to prove the song is their creation. She stated that the F sharp scale progression used in the song is generic and any composer can use those chords to build a track.

The Do Patti soundtrack has faced a previous plagiarism allegation, with Kolkata-based producer Rajarshi Mitter accusing the team of copying his composition for the track Maiyya. Legal notice was served in relation to these allegations.

Do Patti, directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi, is a thrilling drama that revolves around an attempted murder investigation. The plot unravels the secrets of twin sisters, both played by Kriti Sanon, who makes her debut in a dual role in the film. Kajol stars as a police inspector in the movie, adding an element of intrigue to the narrative.

The fictional setting for Do Patti is the hill town of Devipur, Uttarakhand. The film is a testament to the talented team behind it, promising a gripping storyline and captivating music.

Sachet-Parampara have taken legal action against the allegations and are filing a defamation case against the claims that damage their goodwill in the industry. The case is currently under investigation, and updates are expected in due course.
