Hitting Hard on Illegitimate Gambling Sites

The Dutch Gambling Authority (KSA) has wielded its might against a new operator in the latest crackdown on illicit gambling activities. Sarah Eternal SRL, the company behind an unauthorized gambling website, has been slapped with a whopping €900,000 fine due to its violation of Netherlands' gambling regulations.

According to KSA Chairman Michel Groothuizen, the regulator takes a firm stand against any breaches:

"We maintain a secure environment for responsible gambling within the Netherlands. Operators like Sarah Eternal SRL, who disregard age verification, provide gambling opportunities to minors, and accept cryptocurrency, are our primary targets. We are determined in our pursuit of ensuring a safe and fair gambling market."

Casinosky on the Finnish List

Casinosky, operated by Sarah Eternal SRL, allegedly catered to Dutch gamblers without the required KSA license. While the agency typically imposes fines around €280,000, the hefty €900,000 penalty has been levied due to the company's refusal to comply with KSA's previous demands.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time Sarah Eternal SRL has been penalized. In March 2024, the company was hit with a smaller fine of €280,000. The KSA's relentless pursuit of unlicensed gambling operators doesn't stop here.

The Watchdog's Vigilance

In another enforcement action, the KSA took aim at an unnamed operator over the use of an autoplay option in a game. Under Dutch law, this feature is prohibited as it may lead to addictive gambling practices. In this case, however, the transgression wasn't severe enough to require further action, as the operator promptly rectified the issue.

The KSA's current focus lies firmly on Sarah Eternal SRL. The regulator has been consistently issuing stiff financial penalties, targeting various websites and operators since the implementation of the licensing regime in October 2021, including Winbet and BlockDance BV.

While the KSA's actions against Sarah Eternal SRL and Casinosky may be unprecedented, their dedication to maintaining a transparent, secure, and fair gambling market within the Netherlands is unquestionable.

The KSA's recent action against Sarah Eternal SRL, the company behind Casinosky, highlights their focus on unlicensed casino-and-gambling activities. This operator, offering casino-games without a KSA license, was slapped with a hefty €900,000 fine due to repeated non-compliance with gambling regulations.
