School Fairtrade Day held in Aschaffenburg for the first time

Aschaffenburg, Germany - The city of Aschaffenburg is hosting a series of Fairtrade Day workshops for students, aimed at promoting sustainable development and educating young minds about the importance of responsible decision-making for a better future.

These workshops, which can be found on the website www.weltladen-unsere-website/fairtrade-schools, are part of a larger programme that aligns with the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the education for sustainable development (SDG 4.7).

The workshops focus on fostering competencies for sustainable thinking and acting, raising awareness about sustainable production and consumption, and encouraging active participation in local and global sustainability challenges. By reducing resource use and waste, as per SDG 12, students will learn the practical implications of their actions and the role they play in creating a sustainable world for present and future generations.

The event registration is open until October 24, 2025, and can be accessed at https://stadtab_klima.ticketmachine.de/de/events/unseated/select_unseated?event_id=22763. For any questions or further information, please contact [email protected].

These workshops are a valuable opportunity for students to gain a deeper understanding of sustainable development and to contribute to a more socially just, economically viable, and ecologically compatible world. By participating, they will not only learn essential skills but also take an active role in shaping a brighter, more sustainable future.
