In a significant stride towards modernising Brazil's student transportation network, the municipality of Redenção, Ceará, is set to receive 4x4 microbuses from Brazilian Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Volare. These microbuses mark a first in South America, as they are the first school buses with fully automatic transmissions to operate in the continent.

The delivery of these vehicles was made possible through collaboration with the National Fund for Educational Development (FNDE). The microbuses, available in both 4x2 and 4x4 configurations, have been engineered to handle rough terrain common in Brazil's North and Northeast regions, making them a significant improvement over the past use of a truck with benches in the back for school transportation in Redenção.

Education in the municipality has faced major challenges, with the lack of adequate transportation being a significant hurdle. The investment in these buses contributes to a more promising future for the children in Redenção. The modern school buses are ensuring a comfortable and high-quality commuting experience for these students.

Equipped with Allison Transmission's T2100 automatic transmission systems, the microbuses are the first in South America to operate with fully automatic transmissions. This technology not only enhances the driving experience but also ensures the safety of the students on board.
