Search for Emmanuel Haro still unsuccessful following investigation by San Bernardino County authorities in Moreno Valley

In a shocking turn of events, Jake and Rebecca Haro, parents of 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro, are due to appear in Riverside County court this week, accused of murder. The investigation into Emmanuel's disappearance began just days prior.

The search for Emmanuel took place on Sunday off the side of the 60 Freeway in Moreno Valley. The location of the search was along the westbound shoulder of SR-60 near Gilman Springs Road in the Badlands. Authorities, including cadaver dogs and detectives, conducted the operation. However, the baby was not found during the search, which concluded around 4:30 p.m.

Detectives believe that Emmanuel is dead and have been unable to rule out foul play. This belief is supported by the number of inconsistencies in Rebecca Haro's story, as detected by investigators.

Jake Haro, the baby's father, was present during the search while wearing orange inmate attire. He had previously pleaded guilty to willful child cruelty in 2023. Following Emmanuel's disappearance, his ex-wife filed for a restraining order against him and sought to stop his visitation rights.

Prior to his arrest, Jake Haro was scheduled to appear in Riverside County court in early September for firearm violation charges. He obtained legal representation during the change of Emmanuel Haro's case classification.

In a related development, a 2-year-old child from the Haro family's care was removed and placed in the custody of the Riverside County Department of Public Social Services.

San Bernardino County deputies have made multiple attempts to locate Emmanuel Haro, but none have led to his discovery. Jake and Rebecca Haro are due to appear in court this week, and the search for Emmanuel continues.
