season 3 plot, cast, and latest updates on SAS Rogue Heroes
The much-anticipated third season of Rogue Heroes is on its way, as confirmed by creator Stephen Knight. The show, which follows the exploits of the Special Air Service (SAS) during World War II, is set to air on BBC1 in 2026.
As the war enters a critical phase with the allies mobilizing to liberate France, Paddy Mayne and his comrades find themselves in the heart of the action. Nick Hargrove, Andrew Dawson, and Jake Jarratt have signed up to fight alongside members of the French and Belgian Maquis, adding a new dimension to the SAS's mission.
The third season picks up where the previous left off, with Paddy Mayne and his comrades parachuting into France in June 1944. The SAS will face seemingly unsurmountable challenges during the liberation of Western Europe, creating chaos and carnage among the defending axis troops.
The cast for the third season includes returning favourites Jack O'Connell, Jacob Ifan, Corin Silva, Sofia Boutella, Theo Barklem-Biggs, Stuart Campbell, Jacob McCarthy, Bobby Schofield, Dominic West, and Jack Barton. Lorne MacFadyen joins the cast as Reverend Fraser McLusky, though the specifics of his character are yet to be revealed.
Filming for the third season began in September 2025, and creator Steven Knight has expressed his desire to complete the tale and take the show to the end of the war, and possibly beyond. The third season is expected to be a thrilling finale, with Paddy Mayne and his comrades in France for a final showdown with the German forces.
Unfortunately, there is currently no trailer for Rogue Heroes season 3, but fans of the show can rest assured that work is underway and that the wait will be worth it. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new season.
