Second installment of the darkly humorous thriller series, Dept. Q, unveiled by Netflix

In a thrilling turn of events, streaming giant Netflix has commissioned a second series of the acclaimed crime drama Dept Q. The series, based on the best-selling Danish novels by Jussi Adler-Olsen, has captivated audiences worldwide with its gripping storylines and darkly humorous one-liners.

The lead character, DCI Carl Morck, is played by Matthew Goode, who expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to continue investigating Department Q's mysteries in a second series. Goode, who referred to the cast and crew as "wonderful," will be joined by his team once again, consisting of Alexej Manvelov, Leah Byrne, and Jamie Sives.

The first season of Dept Q followed Carl as he opened Department Q, a new branch of the police department, to investigate the disappearance of a prosecutor called Merritt Lingard. Scott Frank, who served as the head writer for the first season, will continue in his role for the second season.
