Security Assured for Wiesbaden's Ice Rink in the Coming Years

The Economic Committee of the city of Wiesbaden has made a decision to continue subsidizing the popular ice rink event, "Wiesbaden on Ice", for a third season. The city will provide financial support of up to 175,000 euros to enable the third season of this large mobile ice rink, which spans an area of 2,500 square meters, making it the largest of its kind in Germany.

The ice rink, located between Kurhaus and Nassauer Hof, has been set up twice before and has seen success in its first and second seasons. However, there was doubt about its continuation for the third season. The Economic Committee's decision does not need to be voted on in the city council.

Last year, the city of Wiesbaden supported "Wiesbaden on Ice" with a so-called seed funding of 98,000 euros. Despite ending the last season with a deficit, the Economic Committee has decided to continue subsidizing the ice rink for another year.

"Wiesbaden on Ice" is organized by the Wiesbaden Sports Aid on the Bowling Green. The event, which attracts a large number of visitors each year, is set to return for its third season.

The city council has not been required to vote on the decision to continue subsidizing "Wiesbaden on Ice". This means that the event is set to have a third season, much to the delight of ice skating enthusiasts in the city.

The return of "Wiesbaden on Ice" for a third season is great news for the city and its residents. The event provides an opportunity for people to enjoy ice skating during the winter months and contributes to the city's vibrant cultural scene. With the city's continued support, "Wiesbaden on Ice" is set to continue its success for another year.
