In the small town of Zeven and its surrounding areas, several incidents and investigations have taken place over the past week.

On the morning of January 9, 2025, a hit-and-run incident occurred in the Südring area, causing a large oil spill. An unknown truck driver, driving on the right lane, suddenly swerved left, brushing a red Skoda on the middle lane, and continued driving without stopping. The accident occurred during an emergency call, and the driver, described as approximately 30 years old with dark hair, is yet to be identified. The Zeven police are seeking information about the origin of the metal part or a responsible vehicle.

Late on Saturday night, at around 22:11, a dispute with severe consequences occurred in Hermann-Lamprecht-Straße, Gnarrenburg. A 20-year-old boy was clipped by a black Polo while turning, suffering severe foot injuries. The driver failed to notice the boy.

In a separate incident, a fire broke out in an apartment in Gnarrenburg, late on Saturday evening at around 22:45. Initial investigations suggest a technical defect of an electrical device as a possible cause. Two people had to be medically treated with suspected smoke inhalation.

On the same day, at around 17:03, a serious accident occurred in Am Brink street, Visselhoeve/Jeddingen, during Christmas tree collection. Three people were slightly injured.

Between January 4 and 10, 2025, unknown perpetrators broke into a single-family home in Bördel street, Fintel. The police are asking witnesses to call 04261-9470.

On Friday evening, around 18:45, a traffic accident occurred in the main street of Groß Meckelsen in which one person was slightly injured. The total damage is estimated at approximately 2,000 euros.

Investigations are ongoing in various cases, including a hit-and-run incident on the A1 motorway heading towards Bremen, today at around 07:38 AM. The collision severely damaged the vehicle and caused it to leak a large amount of oil, requiring extensive road cleaning.

Elsewhere, proceedings were initiated against a man in connection with a traffic accident involving an ambulance on the B 71 (Harburger Street towards Wohlsdorf) in Rotenburg, on Saturday evening at around 18:07.

In a more unusual incident, a gumball machine was destroyed by fire in Sottrum, just before midnight on Saturday night. The material damage is estimated at around 112,000 euros.

The police are also investigating a case of a man found to be under the influence of alcohol and drugs in Zeven, on Saturday evening. Witnesses are asked to call 04261-9470.

In addition, a postal deliverer in Bremervörde was found to have been stealing mail. Investigations led to his identification.

Several assemblies and an AfD information stand took place in Rotenburg's pedestrian zone on January 11, 2025. The assemblies remained peaceful and ended in the early afternoon.

A 90-year-old man lost control of his vehicle on the A1 motorway for unknown reasons, on Sunday morning. The driver sustained minor injuries.

Lastly, a 51-year-old man in a Kia collided with an ambulance while pulling away. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation. The total damage is estimated at approximately 8,000 euros.

The police are urging anyone with information about any of these incidents to come forward and contact the relevant authorities.
