Single-bike Accident Occurs
On Monday, August 17th, at approximately 5:20 PM, a single-vehicle accident involving an e-bike occurred on Puetzberg Ring in Euskirchen.
The incident involved a 51-year-old resident of Euskirchen who was riding an e-bike. According to reports, the rider was traveling in the direction of the Eifel Ring on the cycle path. After passing a waiting vehicle, the rider intended to return to the cycle path. However, in the process, the rider briefly rode onto the roadway in the merge area and did not notice the curb. As a result, the rider fell off the e-bike.
The e-bike rider was a 51-year-old resident of Euskirchen. After the fall, the injured individual was taken to a hospital by ambulance. The nature and extent of the injuries are not currently known.
It's important to note that the accident did not involve any other vehicles. The police are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause and any contributing factors.
