Six individuals sustain injuries in road collision on the B31 highway
Accident on B31 Near Hausen an der Möhlin: Three Vehicles Involved
On Sunday afternoon, August 31, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on the B31 highway near the Hausen an der Möhlin exit.
At approximately 11:50 AM, a 22-year-old male driver, traveling from Breisach towards the highway interchange, lost control of his vehicle and crossed into the oncoming lane. His vehicle collided head-on with another properly driven vehicle.
As a result, three vehicles were involved in the accident. The driver who caused the collision sustained moderate injuries, while five other individuals from the involved vehicles suffered minor injuries.
The volunteer fire departments from Bad Krozingen and Hausen responded to the scene, along with several emergency vehicles. A rescue helicopter was also deployed to assist.
In the aftermath of the accident, the road maintenance crew was responsible for road cleaning.
It is worth noting that a following car crashed into one of the vehicles involved in the accident due to insufficient safety distance.
The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation, but it is clear that it has caused significant disruption on the B31 highway. We urge all drivers to maintain a safe distance and adhere to speed limits to prevent such accidents from happening.
