In the heart of Germany's Rhine-Kreis Neuss, an innovative project is underway. The county, a member of the Working Group for pedestrian and cyclist-friendly cities, municipalities, and counties (AGFS), is supporting a county-wide cycling path project.

The project, funded in part by 48,700,- € from the Employment Promotion Company Ltd. Rhein-Kreis Neuss, aims to maintain and improve the cycling paths within the county. A unique aspect of this project is that long-term unemployed individuals and refugees will be performing the necessary trimmings, repairs, and reporting of larger damages for these paths.

Raimund Franzen, Managing Director of the Technology Center Glehn, highlights the significance of this work, stating that it structures the daily lives of participants, provides identity and purpose, and promotes integration.
