In a significant move, the conservative think tank Reformismo21 has organised a seminar on 'Freedom of Conscience,' inviting various politicians, PP officials, and evangelical leaders to attend. The meeting took place at the think tank's headquarters, located on Calle Génova, which also serves as the national headquarters of the People's Party.

Xesús Manuel Suárez, the secretary general of the Spanish Evangelical Alliance, attended the meeting via videoconference from the Dominican Republic. Other representatives from the Spanish Evangelical Alliance (AEE) were also present, including Asun Quintana, the chair of the Women and Society working group, and the general director of Areópago Protestante.

The gathering aimed to help Reformismo21 understand evangelical thinking, values, and faith better. The seminar is part of a campaign launched by Evangelical Focus called #OneMoreYearEF, which focuses on sustainability. More information about this campaign can be found on the Evangelical Focus website.

Reformismo21 is a think tank associated with the People's Party but maintains its own vision and projects. It generates a forum for analysis and debate on the fundamental challenges facing Spain and Europe in various areas. The organisations or individuals invited to develop the seminar are not publicly specified.

In addition to the seminar, evangelical representatives were also invited to attend other forums organised by Reformismo21. The organisational structure of evangelicals in Spain, as well as some points of view on current challenges of society, were on the agenda of the day.

The People's Party national secretary for migrations, Carmen Cervantes, and a local councillor in Madrid, Jeannete Novo, were among those who attended the meeting. Reformismo21's management does not include members of the Partido Popular, demonstrating its autonomy in functioning, although it is linked to the party by means of an agreement.

Reformismo21's work is centred on relations with civil society, contributing projects and proposals to the PP. The seminar, therefore, represents an opportunity for both parties to collaborate on issues of mutual concern, particularly those relating to freedom of conscience.
