Spotlight on FAT: Exploring Automobiles, Culture, and Fashion at the Most Chill Ice Rink Globally

In the heart of the Austrian Alps, the FAT International Ice Race is taking place this year, and Polestar is making a significant impact. The Swedish electric performance car brand has set up a base camp for the race, transforming one of Europe's most extraordinary racetracks into an electrifying hub.

Polestar showcased its Arctic Circle collection at the event, a series of jacked-up and ice-capable racing vehicles with distinctive white and yellow livery. The collection, developed in collaboration with the Swedish artist Olle Eksell, was introduced amidst the snow-white peaks of the Austrian Alps in February.

The real action takes place on the racetrack, where vehicles with four heavily spiked wheels participate. The Polestar 5, a four-door grand tourer and the most powerful vehicle from Polestar yet, was displayed at the electric workshop. The Polestar Driver Days took place concurrently, thanking loyal customers and celebrating a day full of driving fun together.

The electric workshop, resembling an airplane hangar with high-tech racing simulators and a futuristic look and feel, serves as a hub for those who have succumbed to the thrill and glamour of electrification. Dan Persson, Strategic Creative Director at Polestar, stated that the electric workshop at the FAT Ice Race is about more than just presenting vehicles; it's about staging movement and creating memorable moments.

The event offered various action-packed experiences such as Flying Bulls, helicopter flights, and special VIP box visits. Swimming superstar Sarah Sjöström and racing driver Thed Björk participated in the event, adding a touch of star power to the already electrifying atmosphere.

Polestar has extended its cooperation with the TERRA WORTMANN OPEN in Halle Westfalen, and has also partnered with the Bad Homburg Open powered by Solarwatt to promote a more sustainable future. As the Polestar 5 is set to roll off the production line later this year, the brand continues to push the boundaries of what electric performance can achieve.
