Tottenham Hotspur on the Brink of Double Signing

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly close to finalizing a move for a standout French star and a playmaker from Manchester City, as they aim to bolster their squad ahead of their return to Premier League action this weekend at home to Bournemouth.

According to reports, the North Londoners are on the verge of securing the signature of Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco. The French midfielder, who has a market value of 45 million euros, is said to be a leading target in the potential double signing. Monaco are reportedly willing to accept a bid of around £47.5 million for Tchouameni.

However, club-to-club negotiations may complicate the potential move for Tchouameni. Monaco are reportedly keen to extract the maximum value for the midfielder, who is a jewel in their side.

The identity of the second player in the potential double signing is Savinho from Manchester City. The City winger is reportedly on Tottenham's radar as a potential backup for Steven Bergwijn. There is a £10 million difference in the valuation of Savinho between Tottenham and Manchester City.

Spurs are unwilling to pay a premium for an untested player outside France. As such, they are also in the market for another winger and another centre-back. Morgan Rogers is reportedly on Tottenham's radar, but it remains to be seen if they will be able to secure his signature.

Tottenham previously attempted to sign Eberechi Eze, but he chose to return to Arsenal. Piero Hincapie, another potential Spurs target, appears to be heading to Arsenal instead.

The North Londoners are still looking for a creative number 10 to replace James Maddison, who suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury. Akliouche can play in multiple positions behind the striker, making him an attractive option for Tottenham.

However, the potential move for Akliouche may be complicated by club-to-club negotiations. Tottenham are reportedly reluctant to pay a premium for an untested player outside France, which could potentially derail the deal.

As the transfer window draws to a close, Tottenham will need to act quickly if they are to secure the signings of Tchouameni and Savinho. The North Londoners will be hoping to strengthen their squad and challenge for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.
