The Thuringian Police are currently investigating a case of a stolen E-charging station cable that occurred in Erfurt, Germany, on Tuesday afternoon. Unknown individuals stole two-meter-long sections of the cable from a supermarket parking lot in Eislebener Straße, causing property damage that is yet to be fully assessed.

The perpetrators used bolt cutters to commit the theft, leaving traces at the cable remnants for the police to secure. The police are investigating the case for aggravated theft and property damage.

This incident marks the fourth such theft in the city of Erfurt since the beginning of August. The Thuringian Police are also investigating whether there is a connection between the current incident and the previous three thefts.

The Thuringian Police's Landespolizeiinspektion Erfurt can be contacted for further inquiries. Their website is available at https://polizei.thueringen.de/landespolizeiinspektionen/lpierfurt/. Their Press Office can be reached at 0361 5743-2100 or by email at [email protected].

The police urge anyone with information regarding this incident or the previous thefts to come forward and contact the Thuringian Police. The public's cooperation is essential in solving such cases and ensuring the safety of the community.

It is important to note that the perpetrators of the previous copper thefts at E-charging stations in Erfurt, including the one on October 12 at the Eislebener Straße parking lot, have not been identified or publicly named in the available sources. No arrests or suspects have been reported specifically for the October 12 incident.

The Thuringian Police remind the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities. They also encourage businesses with E-charging stations to take necessary precautions to secure their facilities and prevent such incidents from occurring.
