The new school, scheduled to open in 2025, was initially promised during Kai's visit to Nigeria in March 2024, when he made a commitment to help the Makoko Children's Development Foundation School.

Kai Cenat has been a significant contributor to the project, having already donated more than $128,000 to equip the existing school with computers. To ensure all funds are accounted for and no individual can personally profit, the Kai Cenat Foundation Inc. has been established as a public charity.

During his recent Mafiathon 3 livestream, Kai provided new details about the school project. He announced that 15% of the revenue from his Twitch subscribers will go toward building the school in Nigeria, which could amount to roughly $750,000 if he reaches 1 million subscribers. The school project is being funded by donations from Kai's fans, and the current balances show over $1.1 million in donations.
