Boost your core strength and make everyday movements easier with this 10-minute standing core workout. This routine consists of a variety of exercises that target your core muscles, helping you perform tasks like climbing stairs, getting out of bed, and standing up with more ease.

Before diving into the workout, warm up with a two-round circuit. This includes 20 jumping jacks, 20 arm circles, 20 toe touches, 20 squats, 20 lunges with a torso twist, and 20 hip openers.

The first exercise in the workout is the dumbbell standing oblique crunch. To perform this exercise, stand with feet hip-width apart, holding dumbbells. Engage your core, bend at the waist to the right, slide the weight down the outside of your thigh, return to start, and repeat on the other side. Each set consists of 3 reps and 10 reps on each side.

Next up is the Around the world exercise. To perform this, stand with feet shoulder-width apart, hold a kettlebell or dumbbell in both hands in front of you, engage your core, pass the weight around the back of your body, switching hands halfway round, once the weight reaches the front of your body, reverse the movement. This exercise also has sets of 3 and reps of 5 each way.

The dumbbell woodchop is another effective exercise in this routine. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, hold a dumbbell in both hands with arms extended. Rotate your torso to the right and raise the dumbbell over your right shoulder, then rotate to the left and bring the dumbbell diagonally across your body until it's close to your left hip. This exercise also has sets of 3 and reps of 5 each side.
