Strengthened Restriction on Bachstraße

In the heart of Hürth-Efferen, a series of road renewal projects are underway, affecting several city bus lines, including line 712. The utility company is upgrading road surfaces and manhole covers on Bachstraße from May 26 to approximately June 20, 2025.

During this period, Bachstraße will be closed between Kaulardstraße and Berrenrather Straße, causing a rerouting of bus services. Passengers of the stops "Bachstraße/Haus Baden" and "Ahl Schull/VHS" are advised to use the regular stop "Ritterstraße" instead.

The stops "Bellerstraße", "Dreikönigenstraße", "Bachstraße/Haus Baden", and "Ahl Schull/VHS" will be temporarily suspended during this rerouting. For passengers of the stops "Bellerstraße" and "Hertzstraße", the reactivated stop "Burg Effenen" is recommended, and for the stop "Pastor-Giesen-Straße", the reactivated stop "Burg Effenen" or the regular stop "Kiebitzweg West" is suggested.

Passengers of the stop "Dreikönigenstraße" can use the regular stops "Hertzstraße" or "Ritterstraße". Temporary stops "Burg Effenen" and "Drafweg" will be set up to accommodate passengers during the rerouting.

Cyclists must dismount during the construction, and it is important to note that the houses can be reached on foot via the sidewalks at all times.

In the direction of Hürth Mitte (ZOB), buses will be rerouted via Bachstraße and Krankenhausstraße. For passengers heading towards Efferen Stadtbahn, buses will be rerouted via Esserstraße, Bachstraße, and then continue along the normal route via Ritterstraße.

Construction work in Hürth is affecting bus service on multiple lines, and passengers are advised to check the latest updates for changes to bus lines towards Efferen Stadtbahn and Hürth Mitte. The exact schedule for asphalt construction on Bachstraße has not been specified.

Residents can access their properties outside of working hours (7 am - 5 pm) by car, but vehicle access will not be possible during asphalt construction (date not specified).

In June, the road surface in parts of Luxemburger Straße will also be renewed. It is recommended to stay updated for any potential changes to bus services in that area.
