"Stunning Resurgence": Oberdorf's Return Sparks Bayern Supercup Victory
In a thrilling encounter at the BBBank Wildpark stadium in Karlsruhe, FC Bayern Munich emerged victorious against VfL Wolfsburg, securing the Super Cup with a 4:2 win. The match was attended by 16,933 spectators, who witnessed a thrilling game filled with drama and skill.
The starting lineups for both teams saw some changes. Notably, key players Alexandra Popp and Sara Däbritz for Bayern, and several for Wolfsburg, were not in the starting lineup but were on the bench.
In the second half, Bayern coach José Barcala made some strategic changes, introducing new players Klara Buhl, Pernille Harder, and Lena Oberdorf. Oberdorf, a national team player, made her first competitive appearance and debut for Bayern after recovering from a 410-day knee injury. Her comeback was described as "extremely beautiful" by Oberdorf herself after the match.

Justine Kielland was shown a yellow-red card during the match. Janou Levels, a new addition to Wolfsburg from Leverkusen, started the game as their left-back. Former team members of Oberdorf at Wolfsburg were happy to see her back on the pitch.
Stina Johannes, the new Wolfsburg goalkeeper, made a few mistakes in the game, which Bayern capitalised on to secure their victory. Jovana Damnjanovic and Lea Schüller added further goals for Bayern to secure the Super Cup for the team.
