Dormagen's Heimatpreis 2025: Recognising Local Heroes
The city of Dormagen is inviting nominations for the Heimatpreis 2025, an annual award that honours individuals, clubs, initiatives, and institutions who have made a significant voluntary contribution to their home town.
The nomination process is simple and open to all citizens of Dormagen. You can submit your nomination by email to heimatpreis@stadt-unsere Website or by post to the Office for Citizen Participation and Engagement at Salm-Reifferscheidt-Allee 20, 41540 Dormagen. There is no specific deadline for postal submissions, and the nomination process remains ongoing until the end of September 2021.
The jury deciding the Heimatpreis 2025 awards consists of representatives from the city, local members of the state parliament, city council, Dormagen History Society, Kreisheimatbund, and city's shooting association. The prize money for the awards is provided by the state of NRW and is not associated with the Office for Citizen Participation and Engagement.
The jury is looking for contributions that foster social cohesion, preserve local landmarks, or keep local traditions alive. Whether it's a community project, a local initiative, or an individual making a difference, the Heimatpreis 2025 is a chance to recognise and celebrate these efforts.
The awards ceremony for Heimatpreis 2025 will take place in 2026 at the location associated with the Office for Citizen Participation and Engagement. More details about the ceremony will be announced in due course.
