Bhave, who is a fellow Marathi actor and Marathe's cousin, described her as a "fighter" and a "great actress". He shared an emotional note on Instagram about Marathe, calling her a "beautiful soul" and expressing his condolences to her family.
Marathe's health struggles worsened during the series 'Tu Metshi Navane', and she transitioned to Hindi television with 'Kasamh Se'. Despite the challenges she faced, Marathe continued to act and bring joy to audiences through her performances.
Shantanu Moghe, who is the son of veteran Marathi actor Shrikant Moghe, married Marathe in 2012 after meeting her through a mutual friend at a party. The couple had been married for nine years.
